Proposed changes to the NDIS

| 13 Apr 2021

Controversial proposed changes to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) have drawn a lot of attention in the media and from disability advocacy organisations. These changes include the introduction of mandatory independent assessments to prove eligibility for support, and other saving measures that disability advocates argue destroy the original goal of the Scheme to give people with disability greater control over the supports they use to lead their lives.

DIIU members and associates, some of whom are involved in directly related research, are watching these developments closely (and with concern); any future commentary will be made available on our website.
